What is Clearblue Pregnancy Test?
Wanting to know if you’re pregnant can make waiting nerve-wracking and you want accurate results, as quickly as possible. That’s why you can trust Clearblue’s test to deliver the results you need, with over 99% accuracy.
The test is also unique in that it doesn’t just tell you whether or not you’re pregnant, but it also tells you how many weeks (if the test is positive).
Clearblue pregnancy tests are easy to use and the digital display screen makes it easy to see your results, which are shown either as Not pregnant, Pregnant 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks or 3+ weeks.
How does it compare to other pregnancy tests?
Most pregnancy tests have to be used after a missed period, but the Clearblue pregnancy test is unique in that you don’t need to wait until you have a missed period. It can be used a whole 4 days before you expect your period to start, giving you the earliest possible peace of mind.
It also gives you the clearest picture of your pregnancy, thanks to the weeks indicator. This means that you don’t only find out if you’re pregnant or not, but it also helps you to work out your conception date, probably due date and how far gone you are.
How do I use Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test?
If you are taking the test before you expect your period to start then you should test the very first urine of the day. If you are using the test once you’ve already missed a period then you can use it at any time of day, but don’t drink lots of fluids before taking.
To take the test, start by removing it from the foil packet and taking off the cap. You should not open it in advance and should use it immediately once you’ve unwrapped it.
There are two different methods for taking the test and you will need to decide beforehand which you would like to use. The first option is to hold the colour-changing tip in your urine stream for a full 5 seconds; the second option is to collect a urine sample in a small container and then immerse the colour changing tip in it for 20 seconds. The tip should have changed entirely pink by this point (on either method) and if it hasn’t then the test could be invalid.
Replace the cap and lie the stick flat (never hold it with the absorbent tip at the top), wait 3 minutes and then read your result. While the test is working, the screen will flash with an hourglass symbol and then will either display ‘Not Pregnant’, ‘Pregnant 1-2’, ‘Pregnant 2-3’, or ‘Pregnant 3+’. Your result will remain on the digital screen for approximately 24 hours.
